Tioga Pass is open!!!

Tioga Pass opened last weekend for the first time this year!  This is the gateway to Yosemite
National Park, if you happen to be on the Eastern Sierra side...
The snow was still anywhere from 6-10 feet deep on the side of the road in places...
This was taken on Friday close to the gate to Yosemite...

The snow melt is fabulous for waterfalls and LADWP!!!

(PS...they're predicting snow up here on Wednesday!!!)

  1. we are about to get some rain here in the valley. 67F and 67%. ugh! Talking hail and t-storms shortly. We'll see if it happens. My in-laws were told to leave Tahoe yesterday, since they didn't have chains with them this trip. Chains, in June?!?!

  3. Trish...Last week it even hit the 80's up here!!! This morning it's so chilly I just turned on the heat to take the chill off!!! No signs of clouds yet, but the temp is suggesting the prediction could be correct!!! We'll see!!

It's amazing Margaret...we don't have to chew the air up here to breathe!!! But we do have to bundle up now and then!!!
