B is for Brrrrrrrr....

"Why are you crying" shivered the otter.
"Because I am cold!"shouted the gnome.
"Then why are you shouting?" chattered the otter.
"Because," yelled the gnome, "when I shout it gets part of the cold
from the inside out!"
Stephen Cosgrove, Gnome from Nome

Solid fog over the Mono Lakes Basin...
lots of snow...
and lots of frost...

Brrrrrrr.....

  6. Brrrrr, indeed. After a week of it still snowing here (so unusual), I am wondering how long you have all the snow you are showing us? Weeks? Months?

  7. Well...it depends LOL!!! Two years ago they were skiing on the 4th of July...not a lot of snow in town, but tons on the mountain...Feb and March are both generally snow months for us and I think they're expecting to keep the mountain open through May...April and May most likely will be slushy around town with the snow melt...Our spring doesn't really come until May or June...

  8. Brrrr indeed, you really managed to capture the frigid, frosty temps in this lovely photo! (And it appears that much of the rest of the nation will really be able to relate to your post title!)

  9. I learned from living in a place where my car door locks froze shut on me on a regular basis that those types of temperatures are best appreciated and enjoyed through postcards and photographs- and here you are, facilitating that experience for the rest of us! :) Bundle up!

  16. I'm voting for enjoying the beauty by looking out your window while sitting next to a fire (or even a space heater!). Tea and a good book would be mandatory...
