Future Site???

"Your present circumstances don't determine where you can go;

No...this is not the future site of the new Eastern Sierra Home Depot!!!
But it is the area where I got the pic of the little Home Depot flags though!!!

  7. I think the little Home Depot flags were put there by someone to mark a trail...This won't be developed...
    One of the fortunate and simultaneously unfortunate things about our location is that big stores won't even consider locating here because we don't have the demographics they want! This would never be an area to be developed no matter what...it's on a rode to a state park...and it's about 15 minutes from town...Mammoth Locals have tried and tried to get a Trader Joe's up there...a store we absolutely could sustain...but we don't fit their demographics! It doesn't matter that we have the largest grossing Von's in their chain, and it doesn't matter that our numbers exceed their required numbers on our big ski weekends....and it doesn't matter that we would draw shoppers from Bridgeport to Lone Pine...and it doesn't matter that the visitors we get up here are all regular TJ shoppers in the southland....They want 35,000 permanent residents in town! And that just ain't gonna happen...
