Artistry in Nature...

"The artist is the confidant of nature, flowers carry on dialogues with him through
the graceful bending of their stems and the harmoniously tinted nuances of their blossoms.
Every flower has a cordial word which nature directs towards him."
Auguste Rodin

It's hard to get a good macro of outdoor flowers when there's even the slightest breeze!!!
Jus' sayin'...

    1. Thanks Gunilla!!! I wish the bottom one was crisper...but that's the one that I couldn't quite get the breeze to cooperate on...

  3. Absolutely lovely, I love the color and softness.

A couple of outdoor macro tricks:

    1) Raise your ISO, most DSLR's can easily go to 1000 without much noise.

    2) Use a piece of cardboard/tarp/potted plant, etc to block the wind.

    1. Good tips!!! I'd never thought of raising the ISO! That probably would have worked...
Our breezes are a little stronger than a cardboard block...I found these tulips in a planter in front of the Chart House restaurant up here...I couldn't resist...they were such unusual tulips!!!

  7. thanks so much all!!! I saw these tulips the night before when TheChief and I went to dinner at the Chart House...they were in the planter in the front of the restaurant. I thought they were quite unusual and lovely and decided to go back the next day. The planter is situated in such a way that it is not particularly protected from the wind, and the poor plants get a bit ruffled...But I managed to capture a few lulls in the wind!!!
