A Kelly update...

She had knee surgery today to take care of a ""Luxated Patella"

The groove the tendon rests in to control the patella was too shallow and she 

frequently had her knee dislocate which consequently made her limp periodically.

But they brought up a special doc from San Diego to do the surgery, and she's 

doing fine...

In the meantime...please send good thoughts and prayers her way for a speedy 

and thorough recovery!!!

I saw these flowers out of the corner of my eye while the granddaughters 

and I were watching two squirrels in the lawn of the Ahwahnee Hotel.

They were large bushes, with these delicate, somewhat small flowers...

What treasures we find when we allow ourselves to see beyond the obvious...

Revisiting ABC Wednesday!!!

Kasey, Kieley, Kelly and Grandma Kathy all went to Yosemite today!!!  

Lunch was at the Ahwahnee Hotel..

It's a a A A a  Bear!!!!

Ok...So I know I'm jumping the gun here...

but this is my first bear sighting of the year...

and the first bear sighting up here for the granddaughters!!!

Fortunately...Granddaughter Kieley got the pics with her Droid phone...

Did I mention we have identical Droid phones...including case???

There were actually two bears up the tree...this little one, and a big mama bear...up higher...

It's absolutely Amazing just how high these big ol' bears can climb!!!

Yep...lot's of snow means lot's of water in the lakes, streams, and waterfalls!!!

Well...Kelly's a girl!!!

It was her first party...she did great!!!

And some of Mammoth's finest!!!

Mammoth Lakes Women's Club raises money through out the year to 

contribute to local non profit organizations...

One of the primary fundraisers is right here at the Snack Shack at

Shady Rest Soccer and Baseball Fields!

It's Been A to Z on Every Wednesday!!!

to 

Zany dogs...

All in the game of ABC Wednesday!!!

Kelly got to go Convict Lake this past weekend....and had her first

experience wading in the lake....

Well...TheChief had to work...so I had to go it alone...

NOT!!!

First, it was the Lion's Club breakfast...

with friends...

And to keep up the tradition...

I rode in the parade with Joanne, her granddaughter Lexi, and friend....

in Joanne's 1986 Corvette!!!  

Cruisin' down Main St. with the top down and the Beach Boys blaring...

The big float of the day...

Then off to the Pops Concert in the Park...

And no...that's not a pirate's cap that Byng's wearing...it's a Paul Revere Freedom Fighter cap!!!

And the ever lovely, (I think she's my sister from a different mother!)...Joanne!!!
