In Canada this has been a year of rising water levels. In my area the water is high but no flooding. You did a great job in capturing the rage of the water.
Thanks VioletSky!!! I have to admit...crib rails never occurred to me!!!
It was tempting Kate...but the water was moving so fast and furious, we (Kelly and I) both knew it was too dangerous to go in!!! Happy 4th!!!
Welcome Andy!!! And a belated Happy Canada Day!!!! Glad you stopped by to visit and comment!
Arija...It was a rather well constructed bridge with some very weather worn railings and side pieces...and of course...the required grafitti carvings!!!
Oh I loved the way you framed the photo with the leaves! Looks like dangerous waters below...hope you were hanging on tight to something while taking the photo!
Kathy - I've not been by to visit for a while - I had to go back and see what I missed - who's Kelly? What a beautiful girl she is! Congrats to the family and beware of these waters - treacherous and beautiful all at once.
Glad you came back to visit Judy!!! And so glad you "met" Kelly!!! She is a beauty...and a sweetheart...and stubborn...and still a bit of a pup!!! (We're going to be working on some manners!!!)
the rails on this bridge remind me the rails on a crib that can be raised or lowered. I really like this bridge (and even the raging waters below!
ReplyDeleteOh, but it would be so tempting to go into that stream! Lovely walking bridge. Happy Fourth of July! May you have a great week-end!

ReplyDeleteThe superstructure seems rather flimsy, I am glad the pylons are good and solid with that rushing torrent between them.

Wonderful shot with the green leaves in the corners. Those are definitely angy waters...

I wouldn't want to go in there, either! Looks scary and gorgeous at the same time.
ReplyDeleteThanks Genie!!! The water's just rushing to get on down to LA!!!
ReplyDeleteYa got that right Virginia!!!
It was Petrea! Kelly was curious, but even she knew better!!!
When I was a kid I was able to handle the cold water of a mountain stream. Today the shock would probably give me cardiac arrest.
ReplyDeleteThat...and in these waters, you'd get pommeled to death PA!!!
