Thanks all!!! We were working on coming when called...she did well most of the time...but when she got into deeper snow she knew it was difficult for me to get to her...she got a bit carried away smelling good stinky stuff!!! She actually did quite well for her first day!!!
She's almost 3 LOL! We got her as a rescue when she was 13 months old. She had been raised in a home with 5 very little kids, and had been kept outside by herself...not an ideal life for a Golden! When we got her she had no house skills... she wasn't potty trained, she got up on the furniture etc, etc... That all stopped rather quickly and we've worked with her on other things...but she doesn't come when called if she's smelling fun stuff, and isn't particularly interested in sit, down or stay! Sooo...we finally took the plunge and signed her up!!! She's a smart cookie so I'm sure she'll be successful...it's more about training us how to work with her that's the problem!!!
Hmm, I've seen apologetic eyes like this before, and from a sneaky four-legged food thief too. You can't stay mad for long when they look like this can you?

Aww. Poor Kelly. Basic training sounds stressful. I'll bet your pretty girl has managed to make it fun, though!
