Yep!
It's the letter "D" today...obviously, for Miss DAISY!!!
Arguably, the best DOG...EVER!!!
Miss DAISY enjoying the first snow of the year...
Miss DAISY resting after playing in the snow with the grandkids...and of course, Miss Cleo making sure no one disturbs the grand DAME...
Miss Daisy is still doing well...much better than expected. She still bounces and barks when she sees me getting ready to go out as she's sure she's going with me...she still gets all twinkle toes when going for a walk, though she stops to sniff a whole lot more...
She's still our DARLING girl and every day we have with her is a gift...

Daisy is certainly the darlin' Dame of all her domain... She is beautiful and I love that last photo with Cat-in-Waiting, Miss Cleo, watching over her.
ReplyDeleteBises,
G
thank you Genie!!! She's our darling girl!!
ReplyDeleteThat's great news that Miss Daisy is doing well. Surely it's helped her health to be surrounded by so much love.
ReplyDeleteIf lot's of love is enough to keep her going...she'll be with us a long time yet!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to see dear Daisy looking so dapper.
ReplyDeletelooks amazingly like my friend Mark's late dog, Random.

For those that don't know the story of Daisy, we almost lost her at Thanksgiving. She was operated on and it was determined she has liver cancer. She's about 14 and has led a good life, enriching ours far more than what we could give her. The vet suggested taking her home for as long as she's comfortable. He said it could be a couple of days, or a couple of months, or longer. It's now been 2 1/2 months and she's doing well. After recovering from the surgery, she's bounced back to almost normal. Her endurance is down and she hovers around us even more than before, but as the Chieftess says, she's happy and reasonably active, and most important, pain free. And I agree that every day with her is a gift.
ReplyDeleteBig little angel. Or is it Little big angel?
ReplyDeleteMy dog who is even a little older (yes, she lies about her age), will be with me so long as she feels good and eats well. But at 15, any surgery would be for my benefit or peace of mind, not hers. And understanding that makes every day a blessing, and the inevitable, bearable.
love your precious dog.
ReplyDeleteshe is cute.
Hiker...she's a big ol' Angel!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Jingle...she is our precious baby!!!
She likes walking in the snow...but today, on our regular walk, there was a new snow patch from last night...not all that much...just enough to be so slick we Daisy landed on her belly and I nearly landed on my arse trying to get her back up!!! We made it!!! And without retreat!!!
two beauties and nice photos!:)
ReplyDeleteThank you Gunn!!! Daisy and Cleo are quite pleased too!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the pics of Daisy and Cleo. I was just thinking about them. She looks great! I showed Tucker and Pearl so they know who their competition is :-) Miss you guys.
ReplyDeleteScout is PERSONALLY offended by your hyperbole since, obviously, SHE is the best dog ever. Sorry, but the truth sometimes hurts.
ReplyDeleteYou can't go wrong with dogs and cats. Nice post.
