Thanks Wayne!!! I wouldn't recommend purchasing this baby...unless you love to tackle the impossible!!! It is in pretty bad shape...I suppose it can be restored, but it's been sitting out there for a lonnnng time!!!
Dragonstar....I have to say that photography certainly enhanced the desirability of this vintage mobile...it's definitely in pretty bad shape, but the angle and lighting worked to my advantage!!!
Thanks Carver!!! And welcome!!!
Thank you Antonia...have a fun weekend too!
I like the film noir aspect Genie!!! Perhaps a bit of Raymond Chandler???
Thank you Justine!!! It is a grand old car...and would be fun to spruce it up and take it for a ride...I envision the little bud vases these old cars used to have with a single rose in it!!! And maybe Cary Grant at the wheel!!!
How much do they want for it? my father took on one of these horseless carriages restoring it to it's full glory. A 1906 Buick. He started when I was 4 and finished when I was near 40
I think the sign said $799...a bargain I'm sure!!! I'm sure someone like your dad would be able to restore this to it's original beauty...I'll bet your dad's Buick was a beauty PA...what did he do with it once he finished???
Not interested but it's a great composition Kathy.

Your photo makes it look a desirable purchase. Fine B&W.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot and it does look Bonnie and Clyde might have done their daring deadly deeds and made their get away in it.
ReplyDeleteA picture with atmosphere! Magnificent B&W! Have a nice weekend.
ReplyDeleteVery film noir, Kathryn... love the dark shadows and the aged look of this B&C special!
