LOL ! That reminds me of a hotel called :Hotel de la Plage" ( Beach Hotel) in a little village in the mountains in the south of France (Ardeche) ! The sea was a couple hundred of kilometres away ! ;-)
Thanks for visiting Namaki!!! I know what you mean!!! ...To see the ocean from here...you have to climb those mountains and go down the other side...then cross miles and miles of land...then across a range of foothills...and then you might see the ocean!!! LOL!!!

ReplyDeleteyou mean, it's NOT that blue stuff off in the distance??!?!
ReplyDeletethen again, with the low oxygen levels at that location, I'm sure you can believe anything if you put it on a sign!
wv: allat...it's an ocean view, allat and MORE!
Nope!!! That blue stuff definitely is not the ocean!!! Thanks for visiting Trish!!!
ReplyDeleteperhaps I'll have to share some real pics of the ocean...since I'm a skosh closer than you are.
ReplyDeletewv: weestos...I'm more weestos than you are, so I'm closer to the ocean
I think I've forgotten what the ocean looks like...maybe this IS an ocean view and I've just mistaken it for the glorious Eastern Sierras!!!
ReplyDeleteKinda like driving up Los Robles (the oaks) avenue and enjoying all the camphor trees.
ReplyDeleteThat is too funny!
ReplyDeleteHeh, heh, heh!!! Yep, Petrea!!! Pretty much the same concept...or an ocean view from the middle of Sweden LadyFi!!!
ReplyDeleteMaybe if you stand on top of the sign? And I'll just assume that valley is round.
ReplyDeleteThe explanation seems obvious to me. The streets were named before the last Ice age.
ReplyDeleteHiker and Wayne...you made me laugh out loud again!!!
ReplyDeletehow funny! I never tire of seeing these wonderful mountain views on your blog.
ReplyDeleteThank you Justine!!!
