I didn't know it's a Cholla cactus until your comment OaklandDP!!! Thanks for naming it!!!
That's a wagon Kaori! One thing about this area, it is very "western" here!!! And there are a lot of these old rickety pieces of history scattered about...
Thanks PA!!! Wish there had been a whole lot of Cholla at the base of your Lacy Street Shelter mural to stop those varmints from desecrating your mural!!!
Yes...I did try B&W...the wagon and mountain were too similar in shade and intensity so it didn't work as well as the color...Thanks! I have to give tribute to Linda, my friend that I was galavanting around with...as she found the Cholla and the wagon...
Didn't realize that cholla grew at this climaate.
ReplyDeleteIs that a wagon behind it? So very western! Fantastic shot :D

Great shot but look at all of that snow! I fear it will never leave my high Sierra get-a-way!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean Martha Z!!! June 6 and we still have a lot of snow around here!!!
ReplyDeleteNot even Bodie and you've still got the wagon. I love it.
ReplyDeleteThey're all over the place up here Petrea!!!
ReplyDeletehitch that wagon up to my blog. I'm watching out for you

ReplyDeleteWhat an iconic picture to advertise the Sierras. I can't believe you've still got so much snow! The snow on Baldy has almost gone.
ReplyDeleteWe've still got huge snow patches all around our house Bellis!!! I'm wearing my uggs, and a sweatshirt, and still feel a bit chilled!!!
ReplyDeleteNot to be prickly about it but...
ReplyDeleteYour skies look like ours.
Your mountains have turned gray & whiter, while ours are still brown & green.
Well Cafe...our White Mountains (and believe it or not, that's the name of this range!) will be keeping your lawns nice and green this season!!!
ReplyDeleteFabulous shot, texture, composition - wow! (Did you try it out in b/w?) Love this one!
ReplyDeleteBises,
G
