"Without inspiration the best powers of the mind remain dormant.
There is a fuel in us which needs to be ignited with sparks."
Johann Gottfried Von Herder
This charming Presbyterian Church was one of two churches I found
hidden away on the side streets of Lee Vining...
It's beautiful. Do the bells still ring?
ReplyDeleteDidn't hear the bells, but that doesn't mean they don't...maybe on Sunday??
ReplyDeleteI absolutely MUST stop here next time.
ReplyDeleteIt's really quite charming Bibi...and if you do...be sure to stop in the Mono Lake Committee...it's the unofficial visitor center, especially when the visitor center isn't open!!! It's a charming little shop and dedicated to "saving" Mono Lake!
ReplyDeleteThis is charming and quaint... Have you been inside? I would love to see some photos. Bon dimanche, K!
ReplyDeleteBises,
Genie
No Genie...I haven't been inside...I'm thinking I'd most likely need to head up there on a Sunday!
ReplyDeleteAgain you have me on googlemaps (and I found the motel). Can you get a photo of the Nuetra house in Lone Pine? with your connections, I bet you can get the address
ReplyDeleteI've not heard of the Nuetra house...but I'll sure give it a shot PA!!!
ReplyDeletePA...I just looked it up online...love the internet!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I found it...printed out the directions...now if I remember to look for it the next time I head south...I'll definitely take some photos!!!
I had no idea such treasures were to be found in Lee Vining. This is sweet.
ReplyDeleteI didn't either Petrea!!! Thanks!
