Either this guy was scoping out the premises for signs of good food...
or he came to play with Kelly...
What's your bet on???

Oh my...how adventurous. The quote is one of my favorite Pooh quotes ;)
ReplyDeleteOoooh...maybe to check out your blog? ;>)
ReplyDeleteHe heard you might have a pik-a-nik basket.
ReplyDeleteHe was definitely checking out any adventure at our house Danielle!!!
ReplyDeleteI know LindyLouMac!!!
A computer literate bear??? Maybe so Bibi!!!
I think you're right on Hiker!!! Those darned bears know where the food is!!!
I hope Kelly didn't wait around to find out!
ReplyDeleteWow - amazing and a little scary.
ReplyDeleteMargaret...The bear was a bit camera shy and so when he saw me clicking away through the window, he started down the stairs...I went out on the deck to take more pics and didn't realize the door was ajar. Kelly started to come out...but I caught her before she caught wind of the bear and I shooed her back in the house!!! And lost the last opportunity for pics!!!
ReplyDeleteLayFi...It's always a bit of an adrenaline rush when you see these wonderful wild animals in the wild...but TheBearWhisperer assures me that they are basically wussy bears and are easily scared off...not like a Grizzly!!! There's never been a recorded black bear attack on a human in California...So far, TheBearWhisperer has been pretty right on!!!
Oh....love that bear shot. Over the summer I saw 2 cubs (in Virginia) and was so excited that I missed getting a photo. Can't imagine what it would be like to have them on your porch.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure that got the old adrenalin flowing...
ReplyDeleteYou may not have gotten all the photos you wanted, but you still got a great one!
I know what you mean LOL!!! This is actually the first bear I've seen wandering without having searched it out. And to have it on our back deck!!! All I could think about was that I was glad I was home and Kelly was with me to scare him off...at this time of year, they can wreak havoc on a kitchen!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Pat...yep...the adrenalin sped up!!! I saw him coming down the street, ran to get my camera, and he was gone..on a whim, I went to the back of the house to see if he ventured out to our back forty and there he was on our deck!!! Yep! An adrenalin spike!!!
