"You only need sit still long enough in some attractive spot in the woods
that all its inhabitants may exhibit themselves to you by turns."
Henry David Thoreau, Walden
My granddaughter Kasey stayed back from a rather big hike with me on our
last full day in our special place...
She taught me how to play the game of LIFE on her iPad...
we each won one game...
Then she went into the dining area and was getting her table decorations
out for dinner...she came running out to the back patio where I was reading
and told me there were deer at the salt lick...
I grabbed my camera and we quietly went out the front...
The most we counted at one time were 7...
all doe and a fawn or two...
The lighting was getting a bit dark so these were the only pics of many
that came out...
Fabulous work you show here on this blog....a beautiful place to call home for sure!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful...I had forgotten all about salt licks!
ReplyDeleteThanks Cynthia...not our home...but a special place in Sequoia National Park that we go to yearly...
ReplyDeleteThanks Bibi!!! There are at least two near this lodge...and we frequently have seen deer there!
Beautiful pics, but it seems like an even more beautiful day.
