  1. I know coyotes (looks like one from this distance, not a wolf) adapt to conditions, but as coyotes are canines, and usually move in packs, I wonder what's up. Hope he's okay.

  2. Oh! And it is so cool that you live where you can get wildlife photos like this. Amazing.

  3. Coyotes often send out one to scout for other wild life (suckers) and then either bring them to the pack or the pack swoops down on them...that's often how they get dogs or cats....

  8. Possibly...but also walking on the ice on the lake...perhaps a bit wary of the increasing snow melt???

  9. Nice photo and good job spotting him.
We have coyotes everywhere here. They are amazingly smart. They are the only animals that I've ever seen that know how to safely cross a busy street. Unfortunately, many people aren't smart with their pets and the coyotes take full advantage of that fact.

  10. My youngest cat came face to face with a coyote in our backyard down south one evening...fortunately, I heard something and opened the door, she bolted inside and ran under our bed at the other end of the house!!! I've never been able to keep her inside...she's an escape artist extraordinaire! But she's also a smart cookie and has managed so far!!! Thanks Pat!
