In Search of Camelot...

Petrea, at Pasadena Daily Photo, is holding a contest in honor of her soon-to-be
published book.... Camelot and Vine
The contest is to submit your interpretation of Camelot...or something that
looks like a castle, or is English...etc...you get the drift...
Sooo...being in the mountains...there's not much in the way of castles
or knights, or shields, or really much of anything that could
depict Camelot...

But w-a-i-t!!!

We've got majestic mountains!!!

Sooo...your job is to help me pick the best pic to submit!!!

Sooo...what do you think???  Which one looks more like Camelot???
Let me know in the comments section!!!

  1. I can see where this would be a difficult decision.
over a very slight margin, I would pick the second one, with the view peeking through the trees. I like the idea of showing some hidden space for the knights.

  2. Hi there - I'm with the second picture - the trees and such add layers of mystery, like pulling a veil over the truth and reason of the Camelot myth!

    (or something like that!)

  3. Number 2 is of course the ruined castle of the Lady of The lake before she had the stewardship of the sword, Excalibur. Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.

  4. I also leaned toward the second. Gives more of the feeling of seeking.

  5. I agree with the rest of the voters. You peek through the trees, and look to the top of the mountain, and there is Camelot!

  8. What do I know! I vote for the first one. No worries, I am late anyway. I can just imagine the camera panning up and there we have it - Camelot! They are both beautiful.

  9. Hmmm LOL...do you really like the first shot or are you just trying to throw me off because you're submitting a shot to PDP???

  10. I was up late last night and saw this when it posted, but I decided to keep quiet so as not to influence the vote! Thank you, Chieftess, for entering a beautiful photo and for telling your readers about the contest. Everyone's welcome to enter! I love the way you found Camelot in the rugged mountains of California.

  11. The first one, I think, because of the golden glow which makes me think of the Holy Grail.
