Winter's Reflections...

"Silent icicles,
Quietly shining to the moon."
Samuel Taylor Coleridge

While icicles hanging from the eaves of the house is an amazing sight...
especially when they're as magnificent as this one...
I find the intricate detail of the close up so much more interesting!!!

  2. Surely it's not still so cold Chieftess? Love the icicles just not sure if I'd like them as much after such a long time :)

    1. It snowed all week last week!!! We're guessing that the heavy snow is basically over and any snow from here out will just be a flurry...but then, I was reading about Dave McCoy building the ski resort and he talked about a winter in the 50's or 60's where it snowed steadily from April Fool's Day (April 1st) until Memorial Day (the last weekend of May)....so you never know up here!!!

  3. Both photos are extraordinarily beautiful, Chieftess! At first I thought the top one was an aerial view of some land form and water!

  6. That first one does have a bit of an abstract style to it. The icicles look big!
