Evensong...

"If I can put one touch of rosy sunset into the life of any man or woman,
I shall feel that I have worked with God."

                                                                                                   Gilbert K. Chesterton

Yet another gorgeous sunset seen from our deck...

  6. Girl, you all landed in God's country for sure. I'm so happy for you and even more thrilled that you get to showcase your wonderful talents. I wish I could come and just sit on your deck with Daisy and drink wine.....oh and take photos.

  9. It was actually earlier this week...tonight's sunset was blocked by a whole lot of white stuff falling from the sky...we're in for a big one this weekend and next week!!!

  10. Well, that would be overpowering to live with day after day. Could constant exposure to such beauty reduce your sensitivity to it?

Thanks for your comment on St. Louis DP. I also thought it looked Gotham City-ish as the picture pulled together. I do a fair amount of HDRs but I don't like the overblown, trippy ones. They can be very effective if restrained or even in B&W.

  11. Well Bob, so far, it's only enhanced my appreciation of it!!! Or maybe I'm just in such awe after living my life in the city, that I just can't get enough of it!!!

You have the same perspective that I do about HDRs...the effect can be stunning (as in your photo... http://saintlouismodailyphoto.blogspot.com/2010/12/order-in-court.html) or it can be really cheesy!!! Unfortunately, the majority of HDRs out there (your shots excluded), tend toward the cheesy...
