  6. Here is a technical question. When you have a wood house are you expected to oil it every (?) years?

Good question PA! No oil, but we do have to paint or rather stain it periodically!!! We'll also be adding a bit of caulking in the cracks!!!

I KNOW!!! Petrea...I'm still reeling a bit!!! So's TheChief!!! We're making some changes and will be moving mid month of July!!! It's been quite a ride!!!

  8. yeah, no oil PA..that would be...uhm, bad in fire season. Stain works beautifully on most cabins.

  10. I missed the bottom part. How strange. My sister's offer on a home was accepted yesterday too. You may have known each other. She got her degree in Education from Cal State San Diego in 77.

double congratulations. You two are now official Southern California transplants.

btw: the oil has a stain in it. I used Penofin which according to the old timers is the best.

  11. Congratulations to your sister PA!!! We closed escrow yesterday so it's official! If your sister's just starting...warn her...bankers are the new lawyers (no offense Mr E.)!!! They're tough to deal with these days!!!

As for the oil vs stain...haven't a clue...I'm guessing the painter will know what to use!!! I just got paint, carpet and flooring samples...Yay!!! The carpet and flooring samples are for the master bedroom that we're having some work done in!!!
