  1. Oh, the architecture looks wonderful. Did not think it was a courthouse in the least bit. Could have mistaken it for a museum or an art gallery.

  5. Lovely old building!
I'm trying to imagine what the area looks like with what appears as a newer home in the background.
    Gotta love Mae!

    Thanks for coming by. :)

  6. Welcome Carletta!!! Glad you could come by and visit!!! Bridgeport is a very small town in Mono County, California...but it's actually the county seat!!! The building behind the Courthouse is just an ordinary office type building...nothing extraordinary. The area is a mish mosh of old and new, or at least newer! In 2010 Bridgeport reportedly had 584 residents...so as you can see, it's not very big!!! The court house is what I would call the focal point of the town!

  12. I have not seen this courthouse. It is really lovely and well preserved. We got our marriage license at Mariposa County Courthouse (the oldest operational place of “justice” in California legal system), before getting married on a bridge over the Merced River in Yosemite. :)
You'll have to check it out now that Tioga Pass is open. Mariposa also has a terrific Mining museum.
