Thanks Sallie! I always think I'm in a Star Trek episode when I go there!!!
I'm honored James...
I love your thinking Arija!!! I'm thinking a green dragon with wings!!!
Mono Lake is definitely a different kind of lake 'Tsuki! It's over 750,000 years old...has way more salt than the ocean and we see the tufas because the lake is down as a result of the LADWP taking water from the streams that feed the lake...
Thank you Genie!!! None of my other photos of Mono Lake had this kind of pastel lighting...it intrigued me!
Nice.
ReplyDeleteYou can't take a bad picture, can you?
ReplyDeleteVery other worldly. Very cool.
ReplyDeleteThanks Steffe!!!
ReplyDeleteYou should see all my discards Petrea!!!
Thanks Margaret!!!
Great picture, great quote and absolutely perfect title!
ReplyDeleteI was thinking the same things as Petrea and Margaret. This really is a wonderful photo!
ReplyDeletePetrified dragons, camels, a frog the size of a mountain, look at it long enough and books of stories appear.
ReplyDeleteLovely shot!
What a strange structure... The title and the quote are specially well choosen, I'll say... Nice reflection ; I love the colors on it.
ReplyDeleteWonderful quote to go with the photo.
ReplyDeleteThis photo just grabs you with its other-worldly appearance. Wonderful shot (per usual) and Ralph was right about patience!
