Is that unusual? the misplaced Sequoia? I remember traveling with a fellow in the Black Forest of Germany (he was from there). He pointed out these tree stubs and informed me they were Sequoias (I think) that were planted as a good will gesture by Teddy Roosevelt. Problem was they grew faster and taller then the other pines. Because of that, they became lightening rods
Grey and cloudy LInda with not much color...although today looks to be gloriously clear and sunny!!! Maybe we'll have that warmth "they've" been promising!!! What's been unusual is that the snow storm was so big...over 15 inches of snow in October...they're predicting a long and snowy winter up here this year...
Interesting about Teddy PA...Sequoias are primarily found on the Pacific Coast...from Sequoia National Park to the southern tip of Oregon (at least, according to Wikepedia!) So this one being on the Eastern Sierra, is unusual...if it actually is a Sequoia...it's not nearly as tall as they get, but the bark and branches certainly look like a Sequoia...or Coast Redwood...
Does black and white weather mean hot or cold?? Ours has been rather lukewarm......I like it!
