Our Little Corner of the World...

"What's the use of a fine house if you haven't got a tolerable planet to put it on?"
Henry David Thoreau

This is the community of Crowley Lake...some pretty nice houses for some pretty great
prices right now...(sadly, because of the realty downturn)...
but what do you think...
is this a tolerable location???

I've begun to post again on
Continuing in the Eastern Mediterranean with Pompeii...

    1. That's actually not my backyard...we've got about 4 feet of snow right now!!! This is the community of Crowley lake, about 10 minutes south of Mammoth Lakes...

    1. That's the amount of snow I enjoy!!! We've had snow the past couple of days...light, warm enough that it melts off the roads, but it's accumulating quite high in the back yard!!!

  8. It's beautiful!

I loved the quote...I have waited for my dream house all my life and may never get it. Since the planet is indeed not a perfect place, I will be happy to have my mansion in heaven! That's more than enough!
