"The angler forgets most of the fish he catches,
but he does not forget the streams and lakes in which they were caught."
Charles K. Fox
Just last week I tried to drive up to Rock Creek Lake, but the snow gate was still up.
This week, the snow gate was down and I headed up...
A few others beat me to it...
Great place on the planet!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely and peaceful shot.
ReplyDeleteNow that's a most interesting quote. From a distance, fishing seems like a lovely way to spend the day.
ReplyDeleteLOL I didn't have my glasses on and thought the title said Open Season. I thought maybe you hunted fishermen down there;)))
ReplyDeleteIt is Gunn!!! One of the most beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you LadyFi!!
I know what you mean Hiker...I'm not a fisherwoman but I'm intrigued by it!!!
HaHa!!! I'm sure some locals would like that!!! But we love our fisherman and hope that they bring lot's of friends!!!
What a spectacular shot and I"m so glad you're finally feeling some spring up there. This is a terrific POV.

«Louis'» grandfather would be right out there with these fishermen were he still with us! He would be in his glory!
ReplyDeleteHe loved fly fishing and tied his own flies.
Thank you so much V!!!
ReplyDeleteMy uncle would have joined your grandfather Louis!!! The rest of us...not so much...I'd rather take their picture!!!
It really does look like a lovely way to spend a day...
ReplyDeleteThe fishermen and women all seem to really enjoy it! When Kelly and I go to a lake now, there's bound to be someone fishing!
ReplyDeleteThe angle of this shot is perfect, K! I do hope that these fishermen have on their waders as any mention of snow and water in the same sentence gives me a shiver!
ReplyDeleteBises,
Genie
I do believe they've got them on Genie!!!
