Thunder clouds over Bishop California |
"We can never have enough of nature. We must be refreshed by the sight of
inexhaustible vigor, vast and titanic features, the sea-coast with it's wrecks,
the wilderness with its living and its decaying trees,
the thunder-cloud and the rain."
Henry David Thoreau
Oops! This is my first Sunday Stills post...and I didn't realize the plan was
to post two of the past challenges...
My first was clouds...
and now my next is from my archives...for blue...
I love the colour of the sky in contrast with the black clouds.
ReplyDeleteDramatic! Great!
ReplyDeleteThank you geitd and Eva!!! And welcome!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots. I love the second one.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dancing Donkey!!! Glad you stopped by!
ReplyDeleteLove your second shot! The building in the background has me curious.
ReplyDeleteThanks Karen! The shot was taken at Bodie, a California State Historical Park and is a ghost town from the late 1800's to early 1900's... It was notorious for it's lawlessness and amoral culture... The building behind the truck is one of the buildings that has survived both weather and fire since the town was abandoned close to one hundred years ago!
ReplyDeleteI love them both! I believe the truck is a Model A?
ReplyDeleteSomebody with knowledge of cars will have to answer that one Adele!!!
ReplyDeleteI can't decide which I like more. The composition in blue really striking.
ReplyDeleteBoth are wonderful, wonderful. I think I'll sit and stare at theme a while.
ReplyDeletethanks Margaret!!!
ReplyDeleteYou're too kind Petrea!!!
wonderful clouds!
ReplyDeleteNice shots. I really like the blue one, so many interesting elements in that photo!
ReplyDeleteBoth a great but I do love the old truck...wonderful perspective!
ReplyDeleteThanks Justine! They were pretty spectacular in person too!!! And much appreciated as the thunderstorms cooled the area down a bit!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Aurora! It's one of my favorites from Bodie...a California State Historical Park!
Thanks Linda!!! It's a great old truck...and in much better shape than most at Bodie!!!
So much fun! WELL DONE!
