"It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold:
when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade."
Charles Dickens
Don't get all excited...
I had to drive a half hour and 4000 feet down the mountain to find this tree!!!
I've been finding excuses to head down to Bishop this past week...
any guesses as to why???

ReplyDeleteWow, that's quite an elevation difference! I'd reckon spring where you live is about three weeks behind where this tree lives! I'd be making that trip as often as possible too. :-) It was definitely worth the drive - that's a beautiful photo of a beautiful tree! Love your composition.
ReplyDeleteSo vibrant! I think it was worth the drive...isn't it wonderful to see the first signs of spring...gorgeous photo thank you for sharing! Happy weekend to you!

More than 3 weeks behind Laloofah!!! Too much snow still...although there are a few flowers beginning to break ground...
Definitely, Smalltown RN!!!
Thanks Antonina!
About 40 minutes LOL!!! It's the nearest town and has a KMart!!! Our local shopping destination!!! We really do live in a very rural area!!! I think this trip to Bishop was a trip to KMart and Sears (appliances only...not a regular Sears!) And of course, camera totin' photo safari!!!
This looks like a fine painting and the color is blindingly beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBises,
Genie

Really??? That must be your spring/summer craving!!! Thanks PA!!!
That is just FANTASTISK, as we say here in Norway.
ReplyDeleteThanks Gunn!!! We met a couple of displaced Norwegians last night at dinner! They've lived in the states for 13 years...but were still speaking Norwegian between them...I didn't recognize the language so of course butted into their conversation to find out where they're from!!! We live in an area where we have a lot of international travelers...I was surprised when they said they lived in Southern California!!!
