Have you ever been...



...to the California Poppy Festival?


If you think you might be in California April 26 & 27...
plan to head to Palmdale for the Annual California Poppy Festival...

Rolling hills after rolling hills, all covered in California poppies...
Spectacular!!!


This pic is from my archives...
but it was inspired by my drive back up to Mammoth!!!
I didn't have time to stop, much to my disappointment...
I was under a timeline to get to the town council candidate forum...
Maybe the next time I head down I'll be able to stop...
I'll keep you posted!!!

    Wow, that's cool, a very different color. This would be a good HDR candidate.

      It is Kate!!! When you walk the path up to the top of the rolling hill and look all around you...all you see is poppies...it's gorgeous!!!

      The year that I took this shot, I was there on a Thursday....the Sunday LA Times edition had almost the exact same shot on the front page of the paper!!!
