To Every Thing, There is a Season...

...Our Little Corner of the World...

In just a few days, Summer will turn to Fall, and the leaves will begin to turn...
After Labor Day, the crowds thin...parking is easy...
and the locals are settling back into one of our favorite seasons...
the Fall "shoulder season!!!"

The air is getting crisp...
the bears are getting restless looking for food...
and those of us who live here year round take a few deep breaths
in between the tourist influx of summer and winter...

This is when I especially love living here!!!

  4. Nice set of pictures.

I used to live in a tourist hotspot in the UK - and those few weeks between the end of summer and the real start of autumn were some of the best - and least crowded - times to be there.

  5. It's definitely a more peaceful time Fun 60!!!

    Thanks LadyFi!!!

Bibi...Our locals population is around 8000 but during the high tourist times in summer and winter our numbers can swell to 20,000-40,000!!! It's quite a "pop" in our population numbers up here!!! So we all breathe a sigh of relief in the in between times!!! I'm sure that Cruise ports experience the same type of thing throughout the world...

You know what I'm talkin' about Stewart!!!
