I may be coming up soon for "research and development" on a current project. The friend I'm staying with told me of a recent fire in Lone Pine that went right up to the backyard of her sister in law. It also took out the most wonderful cabin made by the Rossi clan back in the 20s (her brother in law). I've been and it is a major loss.
Yes...it was a HUGE fire...a lot of serious losses...let me know when you come up...I'd love to head down to Lone Pine and meet up with you!
A sweet spot, Kathryn. I like the desat on this.
thank you Francisca!!!
I'd take your word for it being funky...
Looks a bit creaky!
What an awesome shot! The faint mountains in the background are beautiful! Just kinda worried about that tree...leaning quite a bit :D
Wow, what a pretty shot. You do landscapes better than anyone!
This is more like an illustration than a photo. Who doesn't want to sit by that bridge.
Honest Abe...it's about as funky as you can get...a bunch of railroad ties for support, and a couple of planks of plywood for the surface! Creaky it is VioletSky!!!Thank you Kaori! I didn't notice the lean of the tree! There was one in the same area that was parallel to the ground!!!thank you Laurie!!! I started to post this in it's natural colors, then saw your blog post with the iPhone photos and decided to play!!!I know Hiker...this one had that effect on me too! In it's original color mode, I thought it was more like a watercolor or even an old postcard, which is why I went with the faded photo look!!!
I won't be staying in Lone Pine but at a ranch in Hammil Valley up Highway 6. Kind of looks like this photo
I'll bet it does!!! I think you've mentioned that ranch before...have a wonderful time!!! Keep me posted if you want to meet up!!!
It is a great bridge and I love the antique effect you used. Just perfect !!!!V
Wow, beautiful. I wish I could come with PA.
Thanks Virginia and Petrea!!!
Beautiful shot and I like the effects you have used, leaving those blue skies above!Bises,Genie
I'm waiting for Tom Sawyer to pop out.
Great colour!Definitely brought out the mood :)
Ya know Margaret...I think maybe he might be hiding behind those trees!!!Thank you Singapore Photog!!! Glad you stopped by to visit and comment!
