When warm weather hits us here in VA, I suddenly forget there is still LOTS of snow in other places. This is a gorgeous capture in black and white. Oh, to get to travel out in the west. It would be heavenly.
Welcome Joo!!! Thank you!!! And more snow today!!! 21 degrees and about 6 inches already this morning!!! Not bad for a spring snow storm!
If only Julie!!! Although I see some sunlight peaking through the clouds just now...oops...and now it's gone again!!!
I know you love these spots Tash!!! It's snowing again today...can you believe it???
I don't blame you Francisca...as much fun as it's been living in the snow for a change...enough already!!! I want to wear my flip flops!!!
Thank you Genie! Give a holler if you travel out this way!!!
Thank you LadyFi!!!
I can't believe it either Tanya!!! And welcome!!! Glad you stopped by to visit and comment!
Thank you Kaori!!! With all the snow still on the water, it's hard to tell where you can step to take photos...so I took this from the bridge that I posted last Sunday!
Yep MarthaZ!!! So far, about 6 inches!!!
Actually Dragonstar...I have seen some flowers around town...it'll be interesting to see how they hold up after today's storm...Glad you stopped by!!!
When I woke up to rain this morning I knew you'd have snow! Your snowy photos are beautiful, and I look forward to seeing what summer looks like in Mammoth (short as it may be).
Petrea...all the locals up here pretty much are unanimous in saying "they came here for the winters, and stayed for the summers"! I'm looking forward to summer too!!!
K, this is a beautiful shot and my first reaction was... "is that snow!?" Alas, spring has not come yet, but you will have crystal clear lakes and bright green before too long. (right?)
Yes Genie...that's snow...which did a significant bit of snow melt since this pic was taken...which has been replaced by the incredible snow storm last night and today!!! It's still snowing!!!
Beautiful photo, and wow, still much snow!
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday:)
Cum on da sun!!
ReplyDeleteFabulous! Saw that scene last summer...and with flowing water. Love the contrast of the seasons.
ReplyDeleteHappy to see this beautiful winter scene of bridge over Twin Lakes in your photo... but I think I'll stay here where spring is warm, Kathryn... :-)

ReplyDeleteThe black and white makes this very noirish. Kind of spooky.
ReplyDeleteHmmmm....I like noirish...
ReplyDeleteWhy is it that 21 degrees and snowing on May 15th feels so much colder than 21 degrees and snowing on January 15th?

ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week, mon amie!
