    1. You're absolutely right Linnea...these clouds are the beginning of what we call a Sierra Wave...lenticular clouds!!!

  5. I have a cloud book (really) and I am going to see if there are some photos of lenticular clouds. Fabulous shot and capture - I need to get outside more often. We cannot see as far here with the massive trees obscuring the view. I guess that is not all bad.

    1. These are almost Sierra Wave clouds Genie...they're usually bigger and flatter...a lot like a flying saucer!!! Actually, the vary in shape and size quite a bit and are frequent formations here...You're getting close to Paris!!! Have a wonderful time!!!
