  1. Ha ha, I feel for you. I have a similar photo from a few years ago. It is in color, but it sure looks like black and white.

  2. We got hit (quite lightly, but icy) last Saturday. Fortunately, it's warming up so it will all disappear for Thanksgiving. This is a lovely shot in "full-colour!"

  5. Snow is very difficult to capture on a camera, with regards to the correct colour and white balance. I use and Beach and Snow scene mode on my point and shoot camera, however on DSLR camera's its best to customize your white balance by shooting a patch of snow in shade first and shooting at +2 exposure compensation thus gaining the correct lighting. Great shot though and nice pictures-brrrrr don't relish this kind of weather, not after last year.

  7. Actually Jane...that's pretty much what I did (the dslr corrections)...but it was a pretty bleak day...not much light at all!!! We're up against the mountain, where the snow dumps first and hardest!!!

I know what you mean Francisca...I was not ready for snow just yet! Actually, up here, when it's not snowing it's quite sunny and warm, but that day was absolutely freezing...well, that is, it was in the teens and I froze all day!!!

  9. A lot more snow!!! Or that's what "they're" predicting Margy!!! The prediction is that it's going to be heavier than last year's record snowfall...over 700 inches...it's actually been predicted that we'll have close to 1000 inches...We're battin' down the hatches and stocking up on pellets for the winter!!!
