Waiting for Sunset...

"The present is the ever moving shadow that divides yesterday from tomorrow.
In that lies hope.
Frank Lloyd Wright

Every now and then during the summer,
we head up to Minaret Vista...
a little spot at about 9000 feet over looking the valley that
Devil's Post Pile and Reds Meadow are in...
just in time for sunset...
The shadows slowly climb over and down the mountains...
while prepping for a sunset...
Unfortunately, sometimes there are a few too many clouds
and the shadows prevail...as there were Monday night...

If you haven't already read it...there's an interesting novel based on the life
of Frank Lloyd Wright...
Loving Frank: a Novel...by Nancy Horan.
It's a fascinating read...about the life of Wright and his
lady love, Mamaw Borthwick Cheney.

  1. You certainly got a first class shot here. Beautiful in so many different ways.

  2. Thank you LOL!!! In this case, the photo was even better than the real thing because of the light on the flowers...for some reason the camera really accentuated the dark of the shadows and brightened the flowers!!!
