Hug a Tree...

"Hugging trees has a calming effect on me.  I'm talking about
enormous trees that will be there when we are all dead and
gone.  I've hugged trees in every part of this little island."
Gerry Adams

Granddaughter Kasey had instructions from home to hug a tree while visiting...
here's proof positive!!!

PS...the "little island" Gerry is referring to...Ireland!!!

  1. Lovely composed photo, Perfect in B&W!

  2. Very beautiful proof indeed! Lovely photo.

  3. She looks a little tentative, but willing to go for it for you. She has a great, big smile, just like you!

  4. Barefoot, hatted and hugging a tree. My kind of Gal. She'll treasure this photo.

  5. Excellent..tree hugging should begin at an early age :)

  6. Well documented. For some time we used to take friends out into the bush after meals, a few minutes walk, to hug a big Kauri tree - needed 8 people to do it. The tree is fenced off now, to protect the roots, and to prevent infection with the "kauri dieback disease".

  7. Thanks HansHB!!!

Ah yes!!! I'm sure you're right Linda!!! Not much tree hugging in Scotland, eh???

    Thanks Dragonstar!

I think she's tentative because I told her to properly hug a tree she needed to be barefoot too!!! Thanks Woody!!!

    We're of like minds Bayside!!!
