"Hugging trees has a calming effect on me. I'm talking about
enormous trees that will be there when we are all dead and
gone. I've hugged trees in every part of this little island."
Gerry Adams

ReplyDeleteWell documented. For some time we used to take friends out into the bush after meals, a few minutes walk, to hug a big Kauri tree - needed 8 people to do it. The tree is fenced off now, to protect the roots, and to prevent infection with the "kauri dieback disease".
ReplyDeleteThanks HansHB!!!
