I'm afraid I can't say Noel! It was several years since I was there, and I can't tell by the pic either...I'm not all that well versed on types of trees...
Hello - thanks for stopping by and commenting on my blog! In answer to your question, the Hood to Coast Relay race is run over two days - a Friday and a Saturday. Our team finished in 30 hours. I have three other recent blog posts about the entire race. If you're interested, stop on back and check them out!
hee hee... What a coincidence you post this today. «Louis» was thinking this morning that fall will soon be here - though here in the Bay Area, we can barely tell one season from the next...
Oh I know... our cottonwoods have already lost their leaves and the ash will be next.. I love the colors...but then it will be winter.. Thank you for linking in this lovely photo to Nature Notes..Michelle
We are almost in Pasadena here :). Love HL. This is a wonderful reminder of the changing colors in the trees soon to come.
ReplyDeleteSama on puiden värit nyt meilläkin.
ReplyDeleteKeltaista ja punaista - kaikkea siltä väliltä.
Terveisin Eko

Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThought it might be a ginkgo, but probably not. Trunk looks wrong. Can't see the leaves well enough to tell.
Thanks Linda!!! Looks like a fun time!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't think it's a Ginkgo Jean...it's a really big tree...and the leaves weren't heart shaped as I remember...more like a regular leaf pattern...
hee hee...
