This weekend is the 2013 Mammoth Kamikaze Bike Games...
has something to do with mountain bikes...
THE mountain...
and lot's of crazy dare devils!!!
The top shot was taken in the back, just off to the left of the gondola station...
The bottom shot is somewhere in the same vicinity during snow season!!!!

It looks good in either season. I LOVE the sky in the first photo a lot.
ReplyDeleteTrue enough Pat!!! Thanks!!!
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful photos for SWF!Have a nice weekend.
ReplyDeleteBoth seasons are stunning, you guys have the BEST mountains.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful division of sky and land in the first photo.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful landscapes, mesmerizing.
ReplyDeleteThanks all!!! Having work done on my Internet line so may not respond today!!!
ReplyDeletebeautiful landscape. I prefere the summer version. :)
ReplyDeleteYou know, before I saw that you posted a winter version, I thought the first photo looked 'cold'. I mean, it imparts a feeling of coldness...brrrr....I prefer the first photo; beautiful capture.
ReplyDeleteFun to see the summer shot... I've only been up there during the winter!
ReplyDeleteMost locals will say they moved to Mammoth for the winter's...but stayed for the summers!!!
ReplyDeleteI've never been a daredevil, but I'd love to ride a bike along that trail.
ReplyDeleteThat trail starts at 11000 feet and ends up going down the ski runs...rather rugged ride!!! If it were all like this...it would be great!!!
ReplyDeletehee hee...
ReplyDeleteIf «Louis» got on ANY bike, any where, it would be a kamikaze ride, all right!
I love both of these seasons and think that that first shot is stark and at the same time mesmerizing.
ReplyDeleteBises,
Genie
I know what you mean << Louis >>!!!
ReplyDeletethanks Genie!!! The top of the mountain is pretty stark...last to lose the snow...and I'm sure they "groom" the area for optimal ski use!!!
The only daredevil 'business' I do now it seems is renovate :))) coming from a warm clime j'adore the snow image Chieftess!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous view!
