A Memorial Day Tribute...

"And I'm proud to be an American
where at least I know I'm free,
And I won't forget the men who died
who gave that right to me,
And I gladly stand up next to you
and defend her still today,
'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land
Lee Greenwood

(Yes Petrea...it's Memorial Day weekend, May 29...snowed all night and all day...over 6 inches total)

  1. I was just going to tell you that I love that song and ask where you dug up such a great photo...but I guess the snow is back again? I know you've been waiting for spring but I have to say that I LOVE the first photo! So gorgeous. Makes me feel patriotic and I'm not even a citizen :-D

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

  6. I guess you do not want to hear that we hit 90F today... That top photo took my breath away. I do not think that I have ever seen a more beautiful setting and display of our flag.

I called my daddy this morning to tell him thanks for his service during WWII.

The snow really is lovely and sounds great to someone sweltering in the deep South!

  7. One of the bonuses of living up here Genie is that we rarely if ever see 90F!!! Unless we go down to Bishop!!!

Thank your daddy for me too!
