thanks Taken for Granted!!! We used to have a few old Mercedes...we gave up the last one after I almost got heat stroke in the convertible with the top down in 115 deg heat and no air conditioning!!! We opted for air conditioning!!!
Thanks Marianne!!! If you do go to Bridgeport some time...don't blink or you might miss it!!! It's a very small charming town in the north end of Mono County!!!
Margaret...Bridgeport is the county seat of Mono County...if you're going up 395 towards Mammoth...just keep going...past Tioga Pass, Lee Vining and Mono Lake...past Bodie... up Conway Summit...and in a few more miles...you'll be in Bridgeport...
I'm sure it's 50 (which is a little sad, because I'm 50...). I know that the Mid-Century homes in Palm Springs had to wait until they were 50 to start getting some respect. :) I guess it's all in your definition of Vintage vs. Antique!
Thanks for visiting Adele! I think I prefer to think of myself as vintage rather than historic Adele!!! Funny how Mid Century homes have come back into popularity! I remember when my niece started wearing clothes from the 70's and driving a VW bug in college...looked my college days!!!
Great shot! I love Bridgeport - over the years, we've stayed up there about a half dozen times, usually in the summer while en route to Twin Lakes or the Sonora Pass. Lots of great old buildings in town and the Best Western there is clean and pet friendly (a must, since our pooch goes everywhere with us).
Well, to be an antique, something has to be over 50 years old, which means I am an antique (yes, I am 'someone', not a 'something', but...!)
ReplyDeleteI hope it's a bit longer for 'historic'!
Bibi...Now I always thought over 50 was vintage and 100 was antique....I prefer to think of myself as vintage rather than antique!!!
ReplyDeleteYou have a great blog. Enjoy your B&W photo a great deal. Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment.
ReplyDeleteI've got cars more than 50 years old, and they are just getting good.
I don't know anything about Bridgeport either, but it seems to be a city I would like to visit :) - Great image. Thanks for visiting
ReplyDeleteTaken for Granted - The Chieftess is also over 50 and she too is just getting good. In fact, better than ever.
