"We all live under the same sky,
but we don't all have the same horizon."
Konrad Adenour
I thought this was an almost surreal horizon and sky...
maybe another Star Trek scene...
Maybe just another fabulous sky over Crowley Lake!!!
(Fishing season opens in another week...
won't see the lake again without a boat for quite awhile!!!)
A beautiful scene!
ReplyDeleteI see we've been posting our Skywatch photos at around the same time, on different continents!
ReplyDeleteYours does have a Star Trek feel. I almost wrote that about mine - see if you agree. Perhaps we should both have 'Star Trek' tags for our photos - might be fun to see what we come up with!
Lovely scene! Happy sky watching.
ReplyDeleteMy Sky.

Just stunning!
ReplyDeleteAwesome skies and what a superb view!! Terrific capture for the day. I'm sure it will look different once fishing season begins, but this looks "other worldly" right now and so peaceful. Hope you have a lovely weekend!
ReplyDeleteSylvia
It always seems to be cold and blustery for opening, no matter how nice the week before. I wonder if this year will be any different?
ReplyDeleteI just love the clouds over this expanse of land.
ReplyDeletethanks from the heart!!!
ReplyDeleteI think we're on the same Trek...er..track...Linda!!!
Thanks Liza and Eileeninmd!!!
It's posing NatureFootstep!!!
Thank you Lady Fi and Chubskulit!!!
It will look very different when fishing season begins Sylvia!!! Thanks and have a lovely weekend too!!!
I think you're right MarthaZ...last year it was quite cold...the lakes had only just thawed...
Thanks Bibi!!
Surreal, indeed! Nice capture.
ReplyDeleteI love that the lake will be full of boats in a few short days. Sounds like Minnesota too :O)
And will you be fishing?
ReplyDeleteThis place is special.
ReplyDeleteHave you taken the road from Mono that goes through a burnt forest eventually ending up in Benton? I really enjoyed that drive.
Thanks NoniZamboni!!!
ReplyDeleteMe??? Fishing??? Don't you have to pick up worms and things???
Yes PA...I've made the drive to Benton..only not from Mono Lake...I cut across from the 395...maybe this summer I'll head out that way!!!
I recommend late afternoon when the White Mountain range turns rose colored
ReplyDeleteGreat photo! Glad you stopped by my quilting blog and commented. Stop by A Colorful World too if you get a chance. Hope you have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteI'll do that PA!!!
