"You will begin to touch heaven, Jonathan, in the moment you touch perfect speed.
And that isn't flying a thousand miles an hour, or a million, or flying at the speed of light.
Because any number is a limit, and perfection doesn't have limits.
Perfect speed, my son, is being there."
Jonathan Livingston Seagull
What a good picture and what a good book - Its one of the few that I still own that I bought before I was 20 - and I really am not anywhere near twenty any more!ReplyDelete
The camera I used for the reef shots was an Olympus TG 810 - its a little waterproof, shock proof compact that goes most places I do. I have to say I am surprised by the results! It really is a point and hope!
Love the photo and the quote. I have not read this book in many years - must read it again, I think! There was much wisdom in that book!ReplyDelete
Perfect photo on a perfect flight! :)ReplyDelete
Greetings from Sweden /Pia
Great shot and quote from a book I haven't read in years. Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.ReplyDelete
thanks for hosting this meme Stewart!!! Yesterday I was volunteering again at Mono Lake and found the birds much more interesting to "shoot" than the the tufa! At least until the sun set!!! Check back on Friday!!!ReplyDelete
