Our Little Corner of the World...Expanded!!!

"Is it so small a thing to have enjoyed the sun
at sunset?"
Mathew Arnold

Who knew such a spectacular sunset would occur over the JC Penney parking lot in Temecula???
Thank goodness for iPhones!!!

We headed south for the weekend on Friday...
Friday night and Saturday day in Glendale,
then on to Temecula for a wedding.

Lovely setting...but hotter than Haides!!!
According to the news on tv...the most humid spot in the state!!!

But such a lovely setting for a wedding...

...another iPhone moment!!!

    1. The sunsets came hand in hand with the humidity as they were the thunder clouds building for a show...fortunately, at the wedding we had a lovely breeze during the ceremony and as the evening came on it cooled a bit...and the wedding was simply lovely!!!

  3. I bet we were in the top 5 for humidity, it's been sticky here, but clearing out today.

I wouldn't have though to use the cell phone to capture this, it is stunning. The happy couple look beautiful.

    1. I felt a bit naked without my camera Woody...so I whipped out the iphone!!! I wasn't all that far from the head table...about 20 feet, but it looks like across a huge room in the original pics...so LR crop tool and I worked feverishly to find a good crop!!! Resulted in grain...but I think that added to the romance of the shot!!!

  4. Hey, Temecula is only an hour away from Palm Desert! I go down there frequently. Isn't it a nice town?

  9. What a glorious sunset - doesn't matter where it set, even a parking lot will do! I'm never without my phone if there is a photo opportunity.

  10. Congrats to the lucky couple! What a beautiful photo! Parking lot or not, it's a great one. You guys are down here so much that one of these days we'll bump into each other.
