Seagulls???


...at 6,400 feet elevation???



Believe it or not...seagulls actually come to Mono Lake to breed...
Kind of like the salmon swimming upstream to spawn...
The lake is 3 times the salinity of the ocean...
and it's filled with brine shrimp...
and the seagulls think that's the greatest!!!

  3. am guessing they are fleeing the heat from dth! 101F in sillycon valley last 2 days. omg...if it doesn't cool off soon, I may head u-t-h to follow them!

  5. We see them in the farm fields across the river.....eating worms....or in the parking lots in town cleaning up garbage:(
