My World Started in California...

right back where I started from..."

Did you know that California Here I Come is the unofficial state song of California?
It was written in 1921 for the Broadway musical Bombo with Al Jolson, by Buddy DeSylva
and Joseph Meyer.

No matter where I've lived, I've always been a Californian...

We're spending a few days in Sacramento, the state captitol of California...

  1. Lovely view of the capitol building. Except for the earthquakes, I would think California is a lovely place to live. Beautiful photo, thanks for sharing!

  2. Love your pic - white on white is so beautiful! Enjoy your time in Sacramento, and hope you'll go to Old Town -worth a visit:)

  3. Gorgeous whites and it looks so spring-like!

  4. While you are up there, will you please straighten those Yo-Yos in the Assembly out? Sacto, more than ever has become the state loony bin... (sigh)

  5. Didn't know that! Lovely spring photo...wish I could post one.

  6. Thanks EileeninMD!!! I prefer earthquakes to Tornadoes and hurricanes!!!

Thanks for the tip Emille!!! Will do!!!

Thanks LadyFi! Flowers every where here! The camelias are blooming too and gorgeous!!!

No promises Louis...but I am here with a whole bunch of Chief cops who have a better shot at it...
    (heh, heh!)

Thanks Bibi!!! The spring look is what I'm used to in California Bibi...having snow until June/July is completely new for me!!!

    Thanks Tatjana!

  7. Sacramento's such a beautiful town. If you go to the theatre while you're there, you're likely to see some of my friends.

  8. Thank you for the trivia about the California state song, very informative!

  9. I have it on good authority that the actual state song is "I Love California"...what's interesting is that I am a born and bred Californian and I don't think I've ever heard this song...until my cousin sang it to me in the car yesterday afternoon!!!
