"Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in getting up every time we do."
You might remember some of my first attempts at macro photography...
I took several photos of a few items in TheChief's mom's home...
click here to see the post I'm referring to...
Well...it's been awhile since then...
and I've been practicing...
(and of course, there's my beautiful macro lens...)
Do you notice a difference???
They are both super! Your latest version has rich colors in the background which, to me, gives this photograph the edge. Like the quote too!ReplyDelete
Very nice! I don't think my photos will ever be perfect, but they get much better with practice.ReplyDelete
Oh yes definitely better Chieftess, the beautifully muted background plus light and shadow on the figurine is perfect. Nice work indeed.ReplyDelete
nice shot and colourReplyDelete
I really like the softness of this photo. Absolutely beautiful... thanks for sharing the love up-close with I Heart Macro:-)ReplyDelete
Perfect macro my dear. I love the quote toolVReplyDelete
Wonderful ! I too am practising and practising and sometimes I am quite happy with the result.....but mostly I think I could do better. But it is just fun.ReplyDelete
Thanks LOL!!! At TheChief's mom's house, the Chinaman was on the mantle with a very plain wall behind it...here I have him next to a vase that I keep filled with flowers...against a log wall...very different ambience and it sure makes for a much better background!!!ReplyDelete
Thanks Gunilla!!! I agree...Ansel Adams once said "Twelve significant photographs in any one year is a good crop." I guess if he had to practice that many times...we're in good company!!!
Thanks PerthDP!!! I love that the figure has such interesting angles in his face that the shadows really accentuate...
Thanks Laura!!! I love macros!!!
Like I said Chai-and-Chardonnay, we're in good company!!!
Beautiful..I love finding the unexpected to photographReplyDelete
I think your first attempts were pretty good. This photo is a closer view of the china man and I noticed for a wood sculpture, he has white teeth.ReplyDelete
You have just the perfect point of focus and it brings life to the object. I love the quote, too.ReplyDelete
What a beautiful and special photo! I like waht Confucius said also.ReplyDelete
Confucius say, "Look good."ReplyDelete
Practice does make perfect♥ReplyDelete
Thank you for your contribution to Macro Monday 2. You are one of the many special people who make this meme a success. Hope to see you again next week!ReplyDelete
Magical Mystical Teacher
Bicycle Seat Close-Up
This is a gorgeous photo. I love the angle and the soft focus and I love the wise words.ReplyDelete
Ďakujem za tvoju návštevu a komentár. Ja sa tiež učím fotiť makro. Dúfam, že sa to postupne obe naučíme.ReplyDelete
Thank you for your visit and comment. I will also learn to take pictures macro. I hope to gradually learn both.
