Catching a bit of Summer amidst the gloom and rain...

"I was born in a garden of roses
For so long
I thought my yellow petals were wrong
As I grew into the soil I was planted
I never knew the value of my own bloom

Brown Eyed Susan with the roses
What will she be
Passion burning for tomorrow
Full of possibility"

  1. Very lovely photo! We have Black-eyed Susans around here but I don't know if I've ever seen the brown-eyed variety.

  2. Thank you Jeannelle!!! We've got these all over!!! They're in their late stages, but still going strong! We've got a dusting of snow on the ground right now and more on the way so I don't think they'll be lasting much longer!!!

  3. A dusting of snow...I'm a person who doesn't like the cold but somehow that sounds so lovely right now. I wonder what Boz would think of it. I don't think he's ever seen snow.

  4. Driving around town today I noticed the "dusting of snow" on the mountains...it really did look like snow dust Petrea!!! Kelly took to the snow the first time she was in it!!! Boz might just get a kick out of it!!!
