There's a reason Mammoth is called Mammoth Lakes...

The Twin Lakes at twilight...

I'll be on the other side of the Sierras this weekend...visiting with old friends and hanging out in another one of God's special places....Sequoia National Park...

  1. It's almost painful me to see your pretty picture. They remind me so much of Montana, where I lived as a child. A lush Forest is, I think, the most beautiful landscape.

  2. I was in Dillon Montana for a wedding a few years ago...fabulously beautiful country!!! It was an outdoor wedding on a huge cattle ranch...with the Tobacco Mountains as the backdrop. When the preacher came out and stepped to the hitching post alter, he picked up a rifle and shot a round...within minutes we were watching the groom, groomsmen and father(s) of the bride herd cattle over the hill...the dog took over and herded the cattle back into the canyon, the groomsmen rode to the hitching post and tied up their horses. Coolest wedding I've ever been to!!!
