"Nature never hurries. Atom by atom, little by little she achieves her work."
Ralph Waldo Emerson
Cough, cough...wheeze, wheeze uh...just this once Mother Nature...
could you hurry up with...maybe a rain storm or two that last two or three days...
on the Western slopes of the Sierras...
around Huntington and Shaver Lakes???
Yeah...the fire's still raging...
Sooo...here's a pic of a full moon over Mono Lake
taken last year...
Hope you've got lot's of fresh air to breathe this weekend!!!

beautiful photo with the moon!
ReplyDeleteThat's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWhat a magnificent photo, Kathy.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know about the fire. I know how tough that can be. I hope the firefighters are holding up.
Talk Dirk!
ReplyDeleteThanks Brian!!!
Thanks Petrea! It's a different kind of fire... Heavy growth in an area not particularly accessible to the fire fighters. They're primarily fighting it by air and by creating perimeter fire breaks... The good thing about it is that since its not near civilization property and lives are not at stake and there's no weird chemicals in the smoke. But it's still hard to breathe...the eyes still itch...headaches are the norm and the lungs hurt... Other than that... Life is good!!!
The moon is beautiful! I wish I could send you some of our rain, we've been getting a 1" or more every 3 days!
ReplyDeleteWell shoot...we could use that rain!!!
ReplyDeleteFabulous shot. Not too good the circumstances though. Hopefully, this fire will be out soon. You take care!
