...was inundated by blues and beer aficionados this past weekend!!!
Yep...it was the 18th annual Bluesapalooza and Brew Fest!!!
This annual event has grown by leaps and bounds...
and smoke or no smoke...they were rattling the branches
at Sam's Woods from Thursday through Sunday!!!
TheChief worked the festival on Saturday...the big blues and brews day...
I opted out for that one and held out for Sunday's event!
Kenny Wayne Shepherd was the Sunday mainliner event!!!
preceded by John Hammond!!!
I have a hard time believing that a 30 something guy has had enough
life experience to put his soul into the blues...
But then I saw the drama between this little lassie and her mom...
posturing...you know...the crossed arms and bottom lip sticking out...
I guess even a youngster like this one can "sing" the blues!!!
Then I saw this young lady weaving her way through the crowd...
I thought now that's confidence for you!!!
Thwarting any unwanted advances right from the get-go!!!
Not long after...this little one and mom made up...she finally accepted that mom wasn't out
to make her life miserable...(yet!)
Of course, there were the mosh pit dancers...
...both old and young!!!
Then I saw him!!!
The other half to Ms. Married!
And can't forget the fashionista's!!!
All enjoying the rockin' blues rhythms of John Hammond...
and
Kenny Wayne Shepherd's guitar licks with
Noah Hunt...lead vocalist!!!
If you think you might be in the Eastern Sierras of California in August of next year...
Keep this Blues and Brews Fest in mind!!!
