Winter's Baaaack!!!

"And finally Winter, with its bitin', whinin' wind, and all the land
will be mantled with snow."
Judge Roy Bean

Winter is making it's comeback!!!
According to Mammoth Mountain ski report, we've had over 26" of snowfall
over the last 24 hours!!!  WooHoo!!!
It rained all afternoon and evening yesterday and I thought there
was no way we'd get snow...
But last night, it turned from rain to snow storm, complete with
heavy winds, downed trees and power lines...
yep...no power for somewhere between 10 and 15 hours!!!
And still no TV...anybody have a dish warmer you don't want???

  1. I'm glad you have it and that we don't have much snow...yet.

  2. At least the bridge is clear - so you can get out for a bracing walk!

  3. I was rather enjoying the cold weather without snow Bibi...but the skiing left a lot to be desired!!! We're all glad the snow's back! One thing that's really nice about living in a ski resort...the snow removal here is awesome!!! We can get around pretty well regardless of the snow!!!

Thanks for visiting Lesley!!! It's definitely clear enough for a brisk walk!!!

  6. That is a lot of snow in a short period of time! Where I live, snow would cause total chaos on a workday (or probably any day).

  7. And it's snowing again today!!! Fortunately, living in a ski resort, it's vital that we keep the roads open for our tourism...they've got to be able to get to the ski lifts!!! Makes it all the easier for us locals!!!

  8. The snow is beautiful and poetic. I think that when you can dream of the soft whiteness and never have to shovel a walkway, it really has a magical quality!

K, you and your new camera are getting on quite well! I love your moonlight blue shot from a few days back - wow!
