Lovely, but I do prefer the other one.
I like them both, for different reasons. Love the darkness in this one, highlighting the background instead. Makes me really look at the shot.
I agree LadyFi!!!Thanks Trish!!!
I like the July one, but this is good, too.
Did you frame Miss July? What a talent you have.
I like both. I've never been to Yosemite. I'll have to go sometime.
The other one's just so unusual, I like it.But you're right, they won't let you out of the park until you show your picture of half dome.
The July photo was taken from Olmstead Point...a wonderful overlook with spectacular views of Half Dome...this time I wanted to get closer...but I have to say, the closer views just didn't do it for me!!!Thanks Bibi!Haven't framed any for myself yet Hiker!!! That's on my to do list for this year!!!Yosemite is spectacular Margaret and well worth the drive and expense...of course, if you head this way, you'll have to stop by Chateau d'Watson!!!You're right Petrea...we didn't have to pay to get in due to the lack of rangers at the gate...but to get out...that pic of Half Dome is a must!!!
Kathy, Haven't seen Half Dome from the prospective of the July photo before - it's really something. This one isn't half bad for that matter. Dave and I have never been to Yosemite (and he's a native). Must get there! Thanks for the inspiration to try to make it happen.
I'm amazed at how many native Californians have missed this spectacular spot!!! Hope you get there soon Judy! and if you do...shoot me an email!!!
